SIAC continued...
THEN…….Make 3 Calls for New York 4 All and  Dignity Not Detention
These 2 bills must be passed with urgency in Albany to prevent local law enforcement from colluding with ICE, and ensures the elimination of warehouses for detention in NYS.  Last week Indivisibles from all over the state descended on our electeds in Albany and Governor Hochul to demand that these bills be passed as written.  The push continues. Call the following key representatives:
Governor Hochul:  518-474-8390;   Senate Majority Leader Stewart-Cousins:  518-455-2585; Assembly Speaker Heastie:  518-455-3791

5 Calls - What to say and who to say it to. 5 Calls.org is an outstanding resource for scripts to use when calling your favorite Congressperson or Senator on issues that are important to you.  Go to the website www.5calls.org for a long list of issues to explore. Click on one and you’ll be directed to a page with information and supporting links. It lists the names and numbers for your congressperson and senators and has a script to use when you call. Two pressing issues SIAC recommends are NO WAR WITH IRAN and OPPOSE THE ICE AND CBP BUDGET RECONCILIATION FUNDING BIL

IMMIGRATION COURT WATCH - Jews for Racial & Economic Justice (JFREJ) is organizing to protect immigrant New Yorkers in court & all over the city. They are organizing to get ICE out of New York and protect all our neighbors against federal occupation through court watch, local rapid response, and organizing with our movement partners.
